When I originally contacted Craig he recalled only ever having one all
black Boogie Bodies.
Lynn Ellsworth didn't recall more than one made for him also.
Yet there is this second one on the inner sleev
Unmistakabley a Boogie Bodies, but not the same on on the Star Wars
movie.
21th fret dot spacing, string thru tail-piece, just like a Boogie
Bodies.
This one has 2 string tree's unlike Star Wars one string tree.
Did he borrow one Paul Kantner had? Or someone elses?

Nearly certain its this guitar below which is not the Star Wars guitar.

comment on:
mine
- 2 bottom strap buttons
- single in middle
- 1 string tree (video has)
bridge pu against bridge (no space like 00xx)
evidence its a boogie bodies:
a fender would not have been a string thru
12th frets dots
logo cover up
how many did craig have?
he originally only recalled 1
and if it isnt xx or 41 then what one??
scenarios:
swapped pick guard?
string tree's not somehting likely changed

Remind me what the year of issue is? My memory is that the
shoot was in the fall of the previous year. There should be
some notes on this story in the internet -
Ria Lewerke, is art director would have a better recall of the year
than I.
She
is easiest to find and email via Facebook.

Gary Regester Comments when asked when the picture was taken:
"Good
detectiving. I recall this project was repeatedly
delayed and definitely could have been shot pre-June 1978.
Find Ria - the image you sent of the inside
cover was made up, long before Photoshop, of at least seven
images. The retoucher I recall make more money than any of
the rest of us including Ria. Such was the strange
"democracy" of the group - if only one said "No", the group's answer
was "No". All, or no. So, final image was bodies
from some 4x5 transparencies, heads from others, ad infinitum.
So,
to answer your question. . . original unedited photos must exist, but
not in the singular case."
No doubt a guitar headstock found itself joined with a human
head but the respective bodies come from an earlier/later image.
